Louise Ryan Murphy

Head of Business Operations

Dr Kelly Moffitt has extensive research experience in the role of host proteases involved in both inflammation and infection, particularly within various respiratory diseases including cystic fibrosis and COPD. Her particular interests lie in assay development and Kelly was part of the team at Queens University Belfast (QUB) that originally came up with the idea of developing an assay for measuring the active form of neutrophil elastase in sputum from patients with chronic respiratory diseases such as cystic fibrosis and COPD.
Kelly holds a BSc (Hons) in Natural Sciences with Biology and a PhD in Biomolecular Science (QUB). She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Law and Ethics from the University of Ulster and is an accredited PRINCE2 practitioner.  Kelly is a Professional Associate for Biology for the Council for Curriculum Examinations and Assessment in Northern Ireland and a UK Scientific Ambassador for Biology.

Dr Louise Ryan Murphy has extensive experience in regulated IVD medical device product development and operations with over 14 years’ industry experience, to include roles at Abbott Diagnostics, Horizon Discovery and most recently PredictImmune. She has been involved in multiple product development projects as well as managing all aspects of regulated products supply chain and manufacture with significant experience in project management.

Louise is a graduate of the Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), where she obtained a BSc(Hons) in Genetics and a PhD in Molecular Biology and Parasitology. She more recently obtained an EMBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in Washington D.C.

Louise joined the company as Head of Business Operations in May 2022.
